Our families have acquired a deep-seeded love for standard poodles. This adoration began by taking our children, most of which were adopted through Wisconsin's special needs program, to their therapist. Yes, both of my sisters and my family share the same trauma therapist (that specializes in foster care and adoption issues). Unlikely place to get attached to poodles, I know. But, the poodles "worked" at the therapy center every day and it was obvious that they played a major role in the healing process. Standard poodles are calm, intuitive, and adaptable, making them ideal for every family.
